View of South Tyne Valley Definitely a White Christmas this year, though no fresh snow has fallen since the early hours of the 24th and that was only a light sprinkling. The accumulation is from several falls since the 14th December

Barn Owl in flight The snow may look pretty but share a thought for the wild life. This Barn Owl was soaring over the snow covered fields looking for food, they aren't normally active during the day and didn't seem overly perturbed by my presence either. All the voles, mice, etc are out of reach under the 12" or more of snow cover.
