The Weather at Howhill

My first attempt to photograph the aurora. This image has been much enhanced digitally from the orginal and I'm not convinced the camera was actually using the settings it said it was.

This was taken with a 40s exposure at F2 with ISO180 equivalent film speed. I've take star photographs before with 15 or 30s exposures at the same F stop and ISO rating and got better results without the adjustment.
